A workshop was conducted by Inderjit Paintal from Jalandhar who is a radio show host, author, script writer, business man & a leadership coach. The purpose of the workshop was to empower participants with the power of free choice. He guided them to overcome inner fear, insecurities & other mental barriers which make them feel powerless & afraid while making decisions.

Cake it Up with Kookie Jar

A cake decoration competition was organised for members & was judged by the leading food entrepreneur of the country, Lovey Kapur, founder of Kookie Jar, Kolkata, the iconic patisserie of the city. The cakes decorated in the competition were distributed to the underprivileged children of Shri Vinayak Nishulk Paathshala, Mission Deep School & Nishkam Sewa School. The event helped highlight & promote the businesses of members, who are home bakers.

The Phulkari Fest with Poetrusic

A festival of arts was conducted by a group from Mumbai called Poetrusic. It included an arts workshop for self- expression called “I Claim”, an improvisational theatre work shop for members’ children called “Improv Workshop” & a poetry performance by Poetrusic members Shivali Parkash, Rachna Toshniwal, Neeti Singhi, Shivali Parkash & Shubha Shah.

Weaves of India

On International Women’s Day, a presentation & exhibition of handlooms by Arundhati Menon & Mridulika Menon of Samasta, was organized to celebrate the women weavers of the country. The session gave the members an insight into the different techniques & unique characteristics of the various styles of weaving which exist in different parts of the country & the skill & labour involved in them. The session also helped showcase several makeup brands of members & gave a boost to their businesses as country emerged from the pandemic.
