About Us
Phulkari, established in 2017 in Amritsar, Punjab, is a leading women's organization that aims to empower women's participation in civil society, specifically in the cultural, economic, and social domains. With over 600 influential women from diverse professions in Amritsar and Jalandhar, Phulkari is considered a premier think tank, providing a platform for meaningful interaction and idea exchange. In its six years of existence, Phulkari has hosted numerous prominent speakers such as Shabana Azmi, Prasoon Joshi, and Richa Chadha. The organization's members mainly comprise professionals, doctors, and architects. Additionally, Phulkari is engaged in philanthropic programs such as cancer awareness, education for the less privileged, and environmental sensitization. Its ultimate goal is to make Punjab the first cervical cancer-free state in India. Through our journey, we recognized that women are multi-dimensional. Therefore, our vision at Phulkari is to create a vibrant and inclusive community where women can come together to explore diverse topics such as:

By the Founder
I started the organization Phulkari Women to create a space for women to come together and exchange ideas, share experiences, and support each other in our personal and professional growth. As a woman myself, I understand the importance of empowering women and providing them with a safe space to discuss issues that affect them.Through our journey, we recognized that women are multi-dimensional, and encourage them to explore diverse topics such as Art, Handicraft and Fashion, Book Discussions, Cooking and Nutrition, Current Events, Health and Ecology, History, Culture & Tours, Law and Finance, Music and Performing Arts, Philosophy and Spirituality.
